Well, I saw it! Michael Jackson's "This Is It". It was so good, and so sad. I'm not ashamed to say that I began crying within 2 minutes of the movie starting. :'(

The movie consisted of rehearsals and random interviews with members of the tour, such as singers, dancer, choreographers. I loved watching Michael Jackson just singing and dancing on that stage, he really poured his heart into it. He looked like he was having fun.
Many of my favorite songs were on there, so I was mouthing the words and dancing in my seat. =] It was a lot of fun watching him and everybody else, but also pretty wistful . It was very bittersweet.
One part that hit me the most was when he was singing "Human Nature". That is probably my favorite song of his, very beautiful and heartfelt.

I'm so glad I saw the movie. Very worth it. =]

The weather's been great here, I love it. Just a little bit chilly. =]

I'm so glad it's the weekend! This week went by pretty fast, I'm pretty amazed. Almost a week since Halloween!

My plan for the weekend is to get some homework done. Key word: plan. We'll see how it goes!

Oh, and hopefully tomorrow I'm hanging out with my friend Jasmine. We've known each other since junior year, and she lives here in Tampa but I haven't gotten to see her much! So tomorrow's our day. =] We're planning to do some shopping and see the Michael Jackson "This Is It" movie. So, I didn't do much. I got my laundry done! When I was walking there, I thought all I'd get was a glimpse of him. NO. I sat in the second row, and I got his book. Most importantly, I got to meet him! Never, when I'm watching him on tv, have I thought that I'd ever get a chance to meet him. It was great! I even got a picture with him. So I get to sleep in this week, yay!

Another thing that made this a great Monday was when I found out that my night class, Intro to World Religions (a 4 hr. long class), was canceled too! I've met so many great people, and my classes aren't too bad either. I'm majoring in Psychology, but this semester I'm just taking Gen. Ed. classes. I can't wait to take the classes for psychology.
I'm not in many clubs, but I'm very involved in the athletics. Meaning I go to a lot of games. You want a guy who's never boring, who can always put a smile on your face, and who can pull the best of pranks and never get caught. Or possibly two such guys. Because let's face it, they're pretty much a two-fer. You get one, you get both. Even if one of them's only a friend, he'll still be around so much you'll feel like you're married to him, too. Sure, they may not seem like the most mature guys in the world, in a traditional sense, but just ask them about their business plan. When they drive you nuts by relentlessly testing their latest inventions on you, you can console youself with that huge stack of cash and dragon-leather jacket. Besides, you know you're powerless against those stereo smiles.Take The Harry Potter Husband Test at HelloQuizzy

I'm definitely not complaining about my results =D

I went to the movies on Saturday night and saw Cloverfield.

Well. I thought it was an amazing movie. Really. I saw the trailer online and immediately knew that I had to see it. Mostly because 1) I had to know what was happening! The trailer left me in suspense. But I was glad that the trailer didn't give too much info because I really hate that. I wanna be suprised, you know? And 2) Helloo! It's produced by J.J Abrams! The fantastic producer of one of my favorite shows, Lost.

So for those two reasons I went to the movies on Saturday. There were a lot of people in the theater. It was packed!

Of course, I don't wanna give too much info about the movie cause that's just wrong. So I won't. Give too much info, I mean. All I can say is that it was fantastic. The entire movie is filmed by one of the main characters holding a handheld camera. Seriously. So if you're like me and get a teensy bit of motion sickness, you might wanna close your eyes when the camera goes all crazy. I got slightly dizzy from that but I toughed it up and stayed for the rest of the movie. Haha.

Anways, that's why I love the movie. The fact that it's filmed by a handheld camera. It's so much more intense, it's like you're actually there and seeing it from your own eyes. It feels so much more real.

That's all I have to say! Well, that and: GO WATCH THE MOVIE!!

But this has to be one of the most interesting weekends, so far.

My family and I are like obssessed with Cirque du Soliel. It is serously one of the coolest things, EVER. If you haven't heard of Cirque du Soliel before (shame on you!) I'll tell you. It's a French circus (the name, in French, means 'circus of the sun') that was started by these 2 French street performers. How cool is that? There are different shows for it, all over the world. The shows tell stories, like fairy-tales, with their singers, dancers, and performers, like gymnasts and acrobats.

The show we went to on Saturday was La Nouba. It's at this big tent located at the end of the West Side in Downtown Disney. La Nouba means 'to party', by the way/ And what a party it was! It was seriously awesome and insanely hilarious. The clowns are just a riot. And the outfits! So beautiful . . .

And the acts! I loved the high-wire act, but I was so terrified that they were going to fall. They didn't of course, and it was amazing.

There were these adorable little Asian girls, I swear they looked about 5 or 6, and they performed with these things called "diabolos". They're like wooden Chinese yo-yos. And while they were playing with them, they performed the most amazing stunts: cartwheels, somersaults, and back hand-springs.

My favorites were these clown-like men, Les Cons. They were so funny, just doing the randomest things in the background. I loved them.

The last performance, and definitely my favorite, was the Power Track/Trampoline act. These people performed the most incredible stunts. There were about 20 people, each doing something like jumping of the mini building in the middle of the stage, or doing back-flips. AMAZING. It was seriously the high-light of the show for me.

There was a lot more, obviously, but now I am way too tired to write any more. I should take advantage of this day off and catch up on some sleep.

Oh, I have a link for you guys! It's the official website for Cirque du Soliel! Browse through it and check out the other shows and pictures, if you want!
www.cirquedusoliel.com

Whoopee!

Not.

As you can tell, I was not that excited about going back to school. After 3 wonderful months of total relaxation, who would be?

Actually, today was my second day of school, but I was way too tired yesterday to write this. And it was basically the same as yesterday, minus the first day jitters. Ah well. Here it is!

I guess it wasn't really that bad. Well, maybe it was. I had to wake up at 5:15! The horror! Already I could tell I was not gonna have fun.

I also wore my contact lenses to school. Not a good idea. After a couple hours, I got an extremely bad headache. And my eye sight was a little blurry. Not fun.

Add that to the fact that about 2 hours into the day, there was a fire in the gym. Not a big one, but still. We had to stand outside under the scorching sun for a loooooong time. Well, not that long. But it felt like hours to me. Then the A/C went down. Yeah, THERE WAS NO A/C in several of my classes!

Also, there's a new schedule this year. Now we don't have 6 classes. No, we have 7. ALL IN ONE DAY. The only good thing about that is that the periods were shortened. But it still feels like a really long day.

My classes aren't that bad. I have: Spanish 3, Fashion Design, Economics Honors, Algebra 2 Honors, English 3 Honors, Food Prep, and Physics 1.
- Spanish was cool. Duh, cause I can actually understand it.
- Fashion seems interesting, we learn how to sew and alter our clothes and make new stuff.
- Economics, eh. Not in my list of favorites, but I'll survive.
- My math teacher is abso-bloody-lutely awesome. She's so cool, she actually makes me want to like math. I know. Crazy!
- English is alright, kinda boring as usual. Nothing new.
- Food Prep! Yessss! I wanted this class so badly, and I got it! I cannot wait to learn what we're gonna make. Yummy stuff, of course. I've always wanted to learn how to cook. And yeah, I know, I'm not gonna become some world-famous pastry chef or whatever with this class, but at least I won't be totally useless around the kitchen. I'll finally know what to do!
- Physics. Ugh. Me and science are definitely not friends. But I guess it won't be awful. The teacher said, as soon as he went over roll, that this class wasn't gonna be all about lectures. You could definitely hear a sigh of relief go through the class. He said we were actually gonna do labs. That sounded pretty cool since last year in Chemistry we only did about 4 or 5 labs. Only 1 or 2 of them were actually exciting.

And I was so relieved that I actually knew some people in my classes. I didn't have any classes or lunch with any of my really good friends, like Krysta or Katrina, so I was really bummed out. But thank God I knew someone in my 4th period, cause that's when I have lunch. =]

Soooo, not really an exciting day. This is definitely going to be a long year. That reminds me. As we're walking back from lunch today, my friend, Menasha, says to me, "I can't believe it. It's already the second day of school!" I stare at her for a moment to see if she's kidding, She's not. I say to her, "Already?! Don't you mean it's only the second day of school?!" Then I shake my head and walk away.

Put the books in order from favorite to least favorite:

1. Deathly Hallows
2. Prisoner of Azkaban
3. Goblet of Fire
4. Half-Blood Prince
5. Order of the Phoenix
6. Sorcerer's Stone
7. Chamber of Secrets
How many times have you read the series: I've probably read each book about 5 times. (DH only once, though). Usually, I just read whichever book I want, not necessarily in order.
Favorite chapter from your favorite book: Well, from Deathly Hallows my favorite chapter would have to be "The Forest Again". I thought it was beautifully written and I was crying practically throughout the whole chapter.
5 Favorite Characters: Hmm, five characters. Wow. Well, in no particular order, I'd have to say they are: Luna, Hermione, Neville, Fred and George.
3 Least Favorite Characters: Umbridge(grr . . . I really do hate her), Uncle Vernon, and Rita Skeeter.
Favorite member of the Trio: Hermione!
Favorite quote: Hmm, I definitely have a lot of favorite quotes from all the books. Especially HBP and DH. So I'll just tell you one that's pre-HBP and DH:
"I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."
"Mischief managed!"
--from Prisoner of Azkaban
Favorite family: the Weasleys.
Favorite villain: Definitely Bellatrix.
Favorite Death Eater: Lucius.
Favorite non-Hogwarts magical building: The Ministry of Magic looks cool.
Favorite Diagon Alley location: Weasleys' Wizarding Wheezes :D
Favorite Unforgivable Curse: The Imperius Curse
Biggest surprise: Hmm. I guess when Snape killed Dumbledore. Didn't see that coming.
Biggest letdown: Harry being the 7th Horcrux and dying, yet coming back to life. Jeez.
Favorite kind of transportation: Apparating
Favorite Weasley: Fred and George. Or Ron.
Favorite Order member: Sirius!
Favorite class: DADA or Charms
Favorite teacher: Professor McGonagall
Favorite DADA teacher: Definitely Lupin!!
Least favorite teacher: Umbridge
How long have you been a HP fan: Started right after 5th grade, so since 2001.
Number of midnight releases have you attended: One. Deathly Hallows Midnight Party at B&N!
Favorite HP website: Either Mugglenet or the Leaky Cauldron
Favorite podcast: Mugglecast / Pottercast = <3
Favorite fanartist: N/A
Most ridiculous Potter theory you've heard: There's been quite a lot. One involved McGonagall being evil. Found it quite far-fetched but also pretty interesting.
Favorite LJ HP community: <lj comm="harry_potter">
Character you're most like: Hmm, maybe Hermione.
House you think you'd be sorted into: Either Gryffindor or Ravenclaw <33
Your patronus would be a: A dog, like an Akita Inu or a Yorkshire Terrier. <33
Your boggart would be: A spider. Just like Ron. :P
Which would you rather see - a sequel or a prequel: A prequel would be very awesome!
Put the movies in order from favorite to least favorite:
Goblet of Fire
Order of the Phoenix
Sorcerer's Stone
Prisoner of Azkaban
Chamber of Secrets
Favorite movie set: The Ministry of Magic.
Favorite movie scene: Practically anything involving Ron. He's hilarious!
Favorite scene in the movies not included in the books: All of the Hermione/Ron moments are cute :D
Scene you were most disappointed didn't make it into the movie: So many! With OotP I was disappointed that the scene with Neville's parents in St. Mungo's was cut.

EITHER/OR
Floo powder or broom: Broom. It'd be pretty darn awesome to be able to fly.
Bernie Bott's Every Flavor Beans or Chocolate Frogs: Chocolate Frogs. They're much safer (Hehe, Allison!)
Death Eaters or Dumbledore's Army: Dumbledore's Army!
Fred or George: Fred. He's my lover. George is great too, but he belongs to Allison.
CAPSLOCK HARRY or Emo!Harry: CAPS!LOCK HARRY!
The Ministry of Magic or Gringotts: The Ministry of Magic
Sirius or Lupin: That's a toughie. I love them both! I can't choose.
Occlumency or Legilimency: Legilimency
Animagus or Metamorphagus: I'm thinking Animagus. Though if I had the choice, I would take either.
Mermish or Parselmouth: Parselmouth
Draco or Lucius: Both :D
Peter Pettigrew or Mundungus Fletcher: Pfft. Neither. But if I had to simply choose, I'd pick Mundungus Fletcher.
Whomping Willow or Flying Ford Anglia: Flying Ford Anglia.
Invisibility cloak or Pensieve: Toughhh. I'm thinking . . .Invisibility Cloak!
Grimmauld Place or The Burrow: The Burrow. It's so chaotic, I love it.
Werewolf or Inferi: Werewolf.
Herbology or Care of Magical Creatures: Care of Magical Creatures.
Professor Binns or Professor Umbridge: Please. Binns. Give me a free class of to sleep in any day.
Yule Ball or Quidditch Championship: Quidditch Championship!!
Peeves or Nearly Headless Nick: Definitely Peeves. He's way more fun.
Hippogriff or Thestrals: Oooh, toughie! I do like the Thestrals . . .but I guess I'd have to say a hippogriff.
Durmstrang or Beaubaxtons: Beaubaxtons
S.P.E.W or the Inquisitorial Squad: S.P.E.W!
Three Broomsticks or The Leaky Cauldron: Both! :D

Whew! Done.

Since I finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows a couple days ago, I thought I'd write down what I thought about it.

I absolutely LOVED it. It is my favorite HP book. I cried, I laughed . . . there was so many emotions while reading this book. I was especially sad because it was the LAST HP book.

Luckily for me, I did not get spoiled too badly, unlike my dear friend Alli, who got many of the deaths spoiled for her. My only spoiler was when my dear sister blabbed to me about Snape's Patronus, which of course made me realize while I was halfway into the book that Snape was good after all. But I was right! I knew all along that Snape had his reasons.

Neville, as I knew he would be, was totally kick-ass! "I'll join you when hell freezes over. Dumbledore's Army!"
And slicing off Nagini's head? Awesome. NEVILLE LONGBOTTOM IS MY HERO!!

One other character that was also totally awesome was Kreacher. Ahh, Kreacher. He was so cute! I love how nice he became, cleaning the house and their clothes, and making them their favorite foods. And he also fought at the Battle of Hogwarts with the other house-elves! Yaaaay, Kreacher!

Things that made me cry:

Hedwig. Why Hedwig? Why? Was it absolutely necessary? J.K certainly seems to think so.

Dobby. That was like a slap in the face for me. I was all happy that Dobby was helping Harry and Co. escape and was all "He is seriously the awesomest house-elf EVERR! He's probably gonna join along on the Horcrux hunt with them cause thats how cool he is, blah blah blah." And then he dies! I didn't cry until Harry was digging up the grave sans magic. I was absolutely BAWLING. I had to put the book down for a while.

Fred Weasley. Sigh. He was my lovah. And then he died. I couldn't believe it. I wasn't expecting it. At the beginning, when George was injured, the thought of Fred dying didn't even cross my mind. I guess cause I wanted so badly for him to live. And then the waterworks came. Big surprise.

Tonks and Lupin. That I wasn't expecting either. I was so mad. I was thinking "Fine. You took Fred. I guess I could deal with it. But now you take TONKS AND LUPIN?? Who've only been married a few months? Whose baby is not even 2 months old?!" I had to put the book down.

Snape. What a tragic end. But I like how he was in love with Lily and even though he hated Harry, he still protected him because he's Lily's son. This line really started the tears: "After all this time?" "Always."

Ch. 34: The Forest Again. I bawled through practically the whole chapter. Especially the Resurrection Stone part, when Harry's parents, Remus and Sirius come out. How Lily and James were saying about how proud they are of Harry and how brave he is. And of course when he accepted that fact that he has to die. That chapter was beautifully written.

But enough of the sad moments, right?

Besides crying, I laughed a lot while reading. There were just some hilarious moments that left me giggling.

Things that made me laugh:

When Harry goes "ACCIO HAGRID!" Seriously, what was he thinking? Even if the spell had worked, what was he gonna do when Hagrid came zooming at him?

George's ear jokes. "Yeah, 'ear, 'ear!" :D

Hermione saying "Merlin's pants!" That's not something you hear coming out of Hermione's mouth often.

Potterwatch! That Fred . . .

The scene when Percy comes rushing into the Room of Requirement. Can you say awkward? And Fleur trying to distract Harry and Lupin, and all of a sudden Percy roars "I was a fool!"

Especially when Harry is innocently(well, not really) running down the corridor when all of a sudden a gigantic body flies in through the window and hits the opposite wall. Turns out to be Hagrid. And Harry's all "WTF? And Hagrid expalins that Grawp shoved him through the window. I was shaking with laughter at this part.

Basically everything that comes out of Ron's mouth.

And so many more!

There's only one thing that I didn't really like and that is the epilogue. I though it was too cheesy, too 'happy ending' for me. Also, it didn't explain what happened to the other characters. I did find out later, though, through that Live Chat, but still. Although I did like the fact that Harry and Ginny named their kids after James, Lily, Dumbledore, and Snape. I even got used to the name Albus Severus. But that one part I really liked was that Albus Severus was the only one with emerald eyes and looked like Harry. I though that was cute.
Especially Ron going "It's me. I'm extremely famous." Hehe.

That's it! I can't believe its over. The only things to look forward to now are the movies and the theme park. The theme park I'm especially excited for.

Oh wow, it certainly is! I cannot wait till I see HP and the OotP tomorrow. . . . from what I've seen of the previews, it looks bloody awesome. But as always, the books are way better than the movies. I've learned not to expect too much from the movies. . . . but I still love 'em.

But what I'm most excited about is HP and the Deathly Hallows. That's gonna be killer. Snape: Friend or Foe?? Me and my dear friend Alli are gonna read it on schedule once it comes out. Only 2 Ch. a day! Good God, I hope I can keep to the code. It's gonna kill me, but I think I'll make it. Allison I'm not so sure. . . .

Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans

And they do mean every flavor!

So, I went up to Miami this last weekend. On Sunday, I went to the Falls with my dear friend Allison and we were just hanging out, joking around. As soon as we step into Hot Topic, I see the Harry Potter products, so of course I buy a Harry Potter OotP t-shirt. Allison decides to buy Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans. We had never tried them before, but we were feeling daring and reckless. Let me just tell you this: it was revolting! Oh yeah, some of them were good like cherry and lemon, but poor Allison had the misfortune(and honor) of tasting the sausage one first. Ugh. And I, of course had to taste the vomit flavored one first. After Allison tasted that one, we decided no more, and practically ran to the Macy's water fountain. So even though they were disgusting, it was still a funny and wonderful(to a point) experience.
